Great non judging environment.
Despite the circumstances, I had a great experience at DUI Education Centers. The staff there provides an excellent alternative to jail for serving your required time. Instead of sitting in jail, you get exposure to the work of Alcoholics Anonymous and complete the mandatory alcohol safety course and Victim Impact Panel while you're there. The instructors and speakers were informative, engaging, and you could tell they're very passionate about what they do. The staff was not judgmental at all. In addition, you get the solidarity of serving your time with people under the same circumstances as you. The living area was nice and clean and the ability to use phones and laptops during downtime was an added bonus.
Tiffany and staff,
I would like to give thanks for this program and all it offers! I am so grateful for the wealth of information, the videos, and speakers needed for this program to work!
Tiffany and all the staff are friendly, welcoming and non judgmental. They are thorough, structured and very firm when it comes to the rules and conduct each person must abide by. Not everyone can afford this program but , by the grace of God I was able to and for them and this I would choose this over the alternative!
God Bless you All
If you can attend this facility, you absolutely will benefit to positive changes in your life, in your future. Not only will this benefit you, but your family, your job, your relationships, etc. will all be affected by the things you can learn about yourself, the way you handle stressful situations and above all, the innocent lives that can be affected by your decisions when your brain is impaired.
This facility is very caring and respectful of whatever may have brought you to this place in your life. I am forever thankful for the opportunity to have grown in the wisdom and confidence I acquired during my 10 days there.
A special thanks to Tiffany and all the sweet, compassionate ladies ...you're all awesome!😄👍
I would recommend this place to others but watch out for the very judgmental Tammy in the front office, her attitude you would think you were in jail.
Tiffany and the rest of the staff are very understanding and helpful.
A great place for classes and to be educated about drinking and driving, better than jail with the environment and education.
I would recommend this place just keep your eyes open
I’m sorry you had some issues with Tammy. Would you mind going into detail with me?
What would you like to know ? I spoke to Tiffany this morning, she called me. Such a nice person.
I spoke with Tiffany, glad she was able to discuss with you!
The DUI center staff was beyond accommodating with scheduling, fitting me in on the holidays (which in return means they gave up theirs). They treat all the residents with respect as long as you are respectful to them and follow the rules put in place ( which btw are reasonable considering the alternative). They all have a passion to see you make better choice in your future decisions and are willing to talk one on one about any questions you have! I am very grateful not just for the program but the new connections made while here and know that if I’m ever in need Tiffany and team will be more than willing to help me find resources where needed.
Our society needs more rehabilitation programs like this one to stop the epidemic and the treat driving under the influence can cause. It will make you see life from a different perspective and show you the tools to make better choices!
Side note: you only get out of the program what you put in and you can’t put in until you realize it was your actions that got you here...
~the choice we make today has a rippling affect for our tomorrow ~
First, I would like to say that the director Tiffany is absolutely wonderful. Her staff- Patricia, Tammy, Chastity and Jacob were kind and respectful. If you are coming to the blog to ease your worry of having to have jail time or spend time here, I would 100% suggest coming here. The living quarters are like church camp, nice bathrooms and showers along with refrigerators with ice and water, and a coffee pot. The living room also has a television. You are able to use your phone and laptop if you happen to need to serve your time but still need to work. The wifi is speedy. Now that I have that part out of the way... I truly believe it is a life changing experience to come here. Like others have said, it is absolutely non-judgment and Tiffany made the 12 hour class..dare I say..FUN. It is important to do the workbook as honestly as possible because like she will say, she doesn't want to see you again. Leave your attitudes at the door please. There is a reason to be here and to grow from the experience. Paying a fee does not guarantee you a certificate at the end, you need to put in just a little bit of work and acknowledge the reason you are there. It will be over before you know it.
What a life altering experience. I can truly say that I left here well informed and knowledgeable about substance abuse and alcoholism. Of my many years on earth, you never know what you don't know about the use of alcohol. Tiffany and her staff were very welcoming, but stern in their belief of accepting your actions without blame, but rehabilitation. The goal to rehabilitate was evident and I am forever grateful. The most gratitude that can be shown is for them to never see you again, which for me, I can say they wont. Thank you!
I want to thank Tiffany and her staff for the pleasant experience I had whiling staying here. No judgment from staff. They are truly there to help you, make the time go as smoothly as possible and give you the knowledge you need to know in order to not return. Facility was clean and they make sure they inform everyone to do the same during your stay. I would definitely recommend this educational center. Thank you for the great experience.
If you have been in trouble or otherwise think you may have a problem with drinking or drugs, this is the place to go for help. It is often offered as an alternative to actual jail time for a DUI offense. I can tell you from experience that jail time in most county jails in the United States has very little benefit to society and the offender. You get locked in a cage and treated like an animal. The only benefit is that it gets the offender out of society for what little time they are sentenced to, thereby making it impossible for them to subject society to the dangers of their behavior…..but only for that short time. While the offender is in jail, he is offered no kind of help to keep him from re-offending when he gets out. It is a broken system. The DUI Education Center is run by a professional drug and alcohol addiction specialist named Tiffany. Tiffany is highly educated in her field and she is almost magical when it comes to connecting with people. If you don’t learn something from Tiffany while you are here, it is because you don’t want to learn. This facility makes your learning experience as comfortable as they can while you are here. It is almost like you are in a college dorm. This type of comfort allows the residents who are here (even if just for a few days) to focus on learning how to not be a repeat offender rather than thinking about how bad the living conditions are. This place is a definite step in the right direction in an effort to reform rather than just punish DUI offenders. Tiffany is a key component to this whole thing working as well as it does. My only hope is that she can expand on this program and reach more people’s lives. Keep up the amazing work Tiffany! Thank you for treating the residents here like human beings; and thank you for truly caring about making a positive difference…..
I am incredibly glad that this facility exists. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness. I was dreading the 12 hour class. Tiffany made it not only bearable, but actually enjoyable. She is real and honest, and also very kind. I was treated like an actual human being at this center, and that is huge. They are here to help you, not punish you nor make you feel worse for the events that have transpired. They fed us on our class day and you got to eat your own food (that you pack and bring) any other day you spend here. Jail food is slop, and this privilege of real food is nice. This center was a light available to me in this dark time in my life, and I am thankful for that.
This place is great!I was dreading going but the experience turned out to be great!Tiffany is a great woman and she is really dedicated to helping others! Thanks for your help!God Bless!
Two thumbs up! I was able to complete my court ordered jail time and DUI classroom study here. The living quarters are very nice, clean and quiet. Tiffany's class was powerful and informational.
YOU WILL GET OUT OF IT WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT. BE HONEST AND OPEN AND YOU WILL RECEIVE HELP. IF IT COST LESS I WOULD HAVE STAYED A MONTH JUST TO SHAKE SOME DEMONS OUT. STAFF AND TIFFANY JUST KIND AND NON JUDGEMENTAL. NOT FOOLING AROUND WITH THE FEW RULES THEY HAVE, SO DO THE RIGHT THING. THEY SUPPLY PLENTY OF COFFEE BUT BRING YOUR OWN DAIRY OTHERWISE ITS POWDER FOR YOU [SUCH HARDSHIP]. MOST FOLKS I MET WERE FRIENDLY OR AT LEAST NOT UNFRIENDLY. THIS IS NON-STRESSFUL OTHER THAN YOUR OWN PROBLEMS AND YOU CAN GET SOME USEFUL TIPS AND REFERRALS INCLUDING BEST PIZZA IN NASHVILLE AREA. BRING YOUR FRUIT AND VEGGIES IF YOU CARE ABOUT THAT STUFF. MICROWAVE ONLY FOR HEATING FOOD. NOT AN AIR B&B BUT IT SURE ISIN'T PRISION. GOOD LUCK.
I just want to say thank you to Tiffany, and the staff here at the DUI educational center. I was so afraid to go to jail, and be treated like a criminal. Here they education you on things I never thought about, the consequences of how your actions truly effect others. I realize I made a mistake, and I am only human. But, the fact that someone treated me with respect even after my DUI allowed me to be able to forgive myself. I know with their help, and education that I will be a better person for being here. Thank you all for your kindness, and your respect. It has truly changed my life. I am truly thankful that I was given a choice between spending 7 days here, or 5 days in jail where I am sure I would have felt like an animal in a cage. Tiffany thank you from my heart! You guys truly make a difference. Sincerely, Swipe Left, then Right
Opportunity. To be able to come to a safe and friendly environment while also learning about how either one mistake or a life of addiction can have an effect on others, not just yourself. After all, this place allows you to understand that and forgive yourself of your reason for being here. It CERTAINLY beats jail time. The rules aren’t terribly strict, but they are in place to allow everyone to have respect for one another and for good reasons. There are days when it’s crowded, and days when it’s not. I was apprehensive about entering this faculty as most people would be if you’ve never experienced this type of thing before, but I soon found the comfort level and the apprehension melted away. The staff is made up of some very caring, respectable, and courteous people who treat you as good as you treat them. They are the best. Tiffany, Chastity, Tammy, and Patricia……thank you for everything and for investing in people’s lives so that they can learn and become smarter with their choices and live a long good life. The work you’re doing shouldn’t be seen as a “job”. It shows that you all realize this, and for that I am grateful.
I messed up. I have physical, monetary, and mental prices to pay for my mistake. Miss Tiffany and her staff were a tremendous blessing to me in helping me through part of what I have to do to get right with the court system. They were not judgmental. They were anything but. They helped me recognize that I have so much more to give society. The program that they offer helped me understand myself better and helped me recognize that my consequences could have been much worse. I left there a much better person and I would recommend that anyone who has made the mistake that I did take the opportunity to let Miss Tiffany and her staff help you like they did me. Thank you Miss Tiffany!!
I just recently left the DUI Education Center after a 10 day stay. I was extremely anxious about going, but my fears were very quickly put to rest. Tiffany and staff were very kind, helpful, and really do calm your fears. The house was very clean. I was dreading the 12 hour Saturday class- but it turned out, I actually enjoyed it. The instructor was very engaging and informative. If you have the option of going here- I would highly recommend it. I learned so many things and I'm very grateful for this place!
Forever Grateful- Thank you Tiffany and Staff
